EXAMINATIONS

CECCHETTI EXAMINATIONS

  • No student will be entered into examinations without consent of the Principal whose decision in this matter is final.
     

  • Students from Grade 3 & up entered for examinations must take a minimum of two classes per week if they wish to participate in examinations. (Their Syllabus class together with a Production class). Students will NOT be entered for examinations on one class per week.
     

  • Any students taking examinations must attend booster/coaching classes as advised.
     

  • Parents will be notified of examination dates as soon as these are provided to the HD Dance  by the Cecchetti Ballet Australia Inc. (Victorian Branch)

 

 

 

OFFICIAL UNIFORM FOR ALL CENTRE EXAMINIATIONS & CECCHETTI BALLET AUSTRALIA EVENTS

 

Pre-Primary & Primary (Boys & Girls)

  • Uniform as per the Heidelberg & District School of Dance uniform

 
Grades 1 - 2

  • Sleeveless Lilac (Bloch and Energetiks) leotard with matching ribbon in hair. Pink tights and pink ballet shoes with elastic. No skirts (effective 2018).

 
Grades 3 - 4

  • Sleeveless Boysenberry (Bloch) or Cerise (Energetiks) leotard with matching ribbon in hair. Pink tights and pink ballet shoes with ribbons. No skirts (effective 2019).

 
Grades 5 - 6

  • Sleeveless Plum (Bloch) or Aubergine (Energetiks) leotard with matching ribbon in hair. Pink tights and pink ballet shoes with ribbons.  No skirts (effective 2020).

 
Majors (Including Progress)
 
Intermediate:

  • Navy blue sleeveless or capped sleeved “V” necked leotard or Russian style leotard (no crisscross straps) in cotton lycra with matching ribbon in hair. Pink tights. Pink ballet shoes with ribbons. Pink pointe shoes for pointe section.

 
Advanced I:

  • As for Intermediate

 
Advanced 2:

  • As for Intermediate with Navy Blue half tutu to be worn for all centre work.

Dance Spectrum 1 & 2:

  • As for Intermediate excluding pointe shoes.

 
Boys

  • Navy blue or burgundy tights or allovers. White leotard. White socks. White or black ballet shoes with white elastic.

Please Note: The Cecchetti uniform is compulsory for all Centre Examinations, Scholarships, Scholars’ auditions and any other official functions.
